My role
Programs and Strategy Advisor at the Police Reform and Transformation Office (PORTO), contributing to the framing and articulation of a presidential roadmap for police reform under the Office of the President.
What the document did
The roadmap pulled together core reform priorities around democratic policing, accountability, institutional restructuring, funding, training, and public trust, and translated them into a practical framework for implementation.
Why it mattered
Police reform debates often stall between outrage and abstraction. This document helped define a clearer reform logic, linking human rights, legitimacy, and operational effectiveness to concrete institutional change.
